My year with Thoreau - Austin Kleon
As a writer, there are two basic instructions I take from the journals:
1) Take long walks. Get out. Try to arrange your life in a way that you can get out for longer than you even think you can.
2) Go home and write in your journal about what you saw and heard and felt and thought about.
Introducing the Mellotron: A Groovy 1965 Demonstration of the “Musical Computer” Used by The Beatles, Moody Blues & Other Psychedelic Pop Artists | Open Culture
The Mellotron, built and sold by Mellotronics, Ltd., was based on an earlier instrument, the Chamberlin MusicMaster, which used recorded notes from members of Lawrence Welk’s band—hardly the hippest sounds on the scene when the Mellotron MK1 debuted in 1963. By the time of the MK2, however, the device developed into a powerful multitimbral machine, with a dual keyboard, “containing more than 70 3/8-inch tape players, a reverb unit, amplifiers and speakers.”

JavaScript Async - The Callback & The Controller
Events are the first place you are likely to meet asynchronous functions, but once you have events and an event dispatching system you can't stop there. Any long running function has to be implemented as an asynchronous non-blocking function if the UI is to remain responsive. This causes all sorts of difficulties that go beyond events and event handling.

How I started Motion Design using high-school Physics
As a motion enthusiast, there is one question that I have been asked the most:
“How do I start with Motion Design?”
To this, I often reply savagely, “You start with Physics”; scaring away most of the seekers 😂 But here is the thing — someone who is genuinely interested never stops with a single query. They follow up with questions after questions after questions. I love them! ❤️
