The watercolor painting has a reputation for lightness. It’s a casual endeavor, done in scenic outdoor surroundings on sunlit days. Watercolors are the choice of weekend hobbyists or children unready for messier materials. Watercolors, in other words, are often treated as unserious. But for a couple hundred years, they served a very serious purpose. In addition to being a portable medium with an expansive range, watercolors’ ease made them the primary means of making documentary images before photography completely took over this function by the turn of the 20th century when portable consumer cameras became a reality.

Just published a gtypist lesson. The README is below.

GNU's gtypist program is a great way for Linux users to improve their typing speed right from the command line, and is widely available for every distribution. I personally used it extensively when I switched from practicing law to programming and discovered that the keyboard was full of keys I'd basically never needed before.

Creative Commons has officially launched CC Search, a search engine that indexes over 300 million images from 19 image collections, "including cultural works from museums (the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Art), graphic designs and art works (Behance, DeviantArt), photos from Flickr, and an initial set of CC0 3D designs from Thingiverse." All of the indexed images are in the public domain and released under Creative Commons licenses--meaning the images are generally free to use in a non-commercial setting.

To perform the gluteal squeezes, participants were instructed to sit up straight and squeeze their glutes as hard as they could for five seconds before relaxing and repeating. The legacy of jQuery is quite impressive and a great example of how it influenced the standards are the querySelector and querySelectorAll methods which mimic jQuery’s $ function.

You can use document.querySelectorAll in the same way as document.querySelector. Any valid CSS selector will do and the only difference is querySelector will return a single element whereas querySelectorAll will return a static NodeList containing the found elements. If there are no elements found it will return an empty NodeList.

You don’t necessarily need to run querySelector(All) on document. You can run it on any HTMLElement to run a relative search:

Comment:
If you test people on an app the first time they use it, Title Case will slow you down, just as it probably did just now. However, it is much easier to see the shape of Title Case text in buttons than sentence case buttons.

• Whenever you know that the column, or combination or columns, makes a unique key for a nonclustered index, I always recommend that you specify UNIQUE when you create the index. That information is great for the optimizer to have when generating query plans.

• Think carefully about the impact of your clustering key on your nonclustered indexes. Any non-unique nonclustered index will be larger (more pages, eventually more levels) because the entire clustering key will be in the tree level.

• If you have a clustering key with a column (or multiple columns) that are frequently modified, then those modifications have to be propagated to the tree levels of the nonclustered indexes as well.
