Shopmade screw blocks - FineWoodworking
When I made these blocks to attach the solid-wood top to a dining table (“English-Inspired Trestle Table,” FWW #310)) I was aiming for the blocks’ shape to be in sympathy with the design of the corbels that act to stiffen the connection of the foot and the brace to the trestle’s post. It’s an example of echoing the overall design even in the smallest of ways.

Pot Limit Omaha Is INCREDIBLY Easy | Upswing Poker Level-Up
The great game of Pot Limit Omaha is arguably the most profitable poker game to play in the modern era. The average PLO player tends to be much less studied than the average No Limit Hold'em player, so you can gain a big edge by learning the fundamentals. That's what this episode of Upswing Poker Level-Up is here to teach you as high stakes PLO specialist Dylan Weisman joins Mike Brady.

"Unbeatable Poker" Review: Worst Poker Book of 2019?
Most poker books are outdated in a solver-era of poker, so I was curious to check out Red Chip Poker coach Ross Glover's "Unbeatable Poker," one of the only books that heavily incorporates GTO poker analysis. However, I was disappointed to find that Glover's approach was more noise than strategy. This video explains why Glover's work is a dead-end rabbit hole, using PIOsolver proofs and detailed strategy discussion that you won't find anywhere else.
The video I quote in the beginning can be found here. Uri is an insanely bright grandmaster of many games.

Card cheating in texas hold 'em (2p2 COTW)
If you'd like to hire me as an emcee or a magician, visit http://www.nick.com.sg
Hi everyone, this video was created with 2p2 in mind. I was glad to be part of the Concept of the week and I'm honoured to head this discussion for the forum that has helped me so much. I'm just glad to return the favour.
This video contains card cheating methods and ways to avoid being cheated in card games. Don't bother trying any of the methods as you will be caught, I promise. It's a lot more difficult that it looks :p
My apologies if the video gets cut off right at the end. 'The Deal' section states that you should always listen for bottom and 2nd deals, use a propor poker table and always be vigilant. Enjoy!
How to Play Ten-Nine Suited In Cash Games - Upswing Poker
-
The first key strategic note is that Ten-Nine Suited is an amazing hand with which to 3-bet. Doing so balances out the strong hands in your 3-bet range (like Pocket Aces and Ace-King). The only time I suggest calling with Ten-Nine suited is when you’re in the Big Blind or on the Button in certain scenarios. Otherwise, it’s gonna be a 3-bet or a fold.
-
If you’ve been reading these types of articles from me, you know that I’ve been harping on backdoor draws in all of them. That’s because you can’t rely only on the “real” draws to balance out the value hands. You simply won’t have enough of them!

How to Play Nut Flush Draws in Cash Games - Upswing Poker
In Position as the Player Who Called Preflop
There is more incentive to call (rather than raise) with nut flush draws when you are in position. That’s not to say you should never raise them, but leaning towards calling is typically the best approach.
Out-of-Position as the Player Who Called Preflop
Because of your reduced ability to reach showdown, you have more incentive to check-raise nut flush draws when out-of-position. Lower flush draws should be called more often.
In Position as the Player Who Raised Preflop
When you have a big range advantage, the optimal way to play is aggressively.
Out-of-Position as the Player Who Raised Preflop
When the board hits their range hard, you have to play extremely defensively. That includes checking with most or all of your nut flush draws.
When the board is better for your range, you can do a lot more betting. Most of your nut flush draws should be in your betting range on such flops.

When Should You Continue Barreling on a Brick Turn Card? - Upswing Poker
Optimal value-to-bluff ratios are easiest to calculate on the river because our bluffs should have 0% equity when called.
This is in contrast to preflop, the flop, and the turn, where our bluffs will almost always have some equity when called. So, let’s work backward and start by evaluating a river example.
Suppose the pot is $100 on the river and we want to bet 75% of the pot with a perfectly balanced and polarized range.
This means that our opponent will risk $75 to win a $250 pot ($100 pot + our $75 bet + his $75 call), which means that he needs to win 30% of the time ($75 / $250 = 0.30) with his bluff-catchers in order to break even on his call.
Preflop RFI Strategy - A Simple Way to Open The Action
Which Hands Should Be RFI?
As previously mentioned, hand selection and range construction are the first key components to developing a strong RFI strategy. Given that folding yields an expected value (EV) of zero, you want to choose to raise with hands which will have a positive EV.
Below is a chart outlining the RFI ranges for a 6-max table (taken from our free preflop charts), assuming effective stack sizes are 100 big blinds:
