How to Combat Poor Movement in Your Upper Body Training | Breaking Muscle

QRCode

In this article we’re going to look at how to improve movement quality in the upper body with mobility, stability, and motor control focused exercises. Sports-specific needs aside, the bulk of my initial programming for my clients’ upper body work focuses on the posterior chain, and there's no change here. I believe in lengthening the front and strengthening the back of the body first.

I'd rather read the prompt

QRCode

I have literally never seen LLM writing that actually improved my life.

The model produces better work. Some of my peers believe that large language models produce strictly better writing than they could produce on their own. Anecdotally, this phenomenon seems more common among English-as-a-second-language speakers. I also see it a lot with first-time programmers, for whom programming is a set of mysterious incantations to be memorized and recited. I think this is also the cause of language model use in some forms of academic writing: it differs from the prior case with paper reviews in that, presumably, the authors believe that their paper matters, but don’t believe they can produce sufficient writing

Actually, Changing the Clocks Is Good | Josh Barro

QRCode

As you may have seen, the US Senate agreed by unanimous consent on Tuesday to abolish standard time and keep clocks on daylight saving time all year. As you may know, I fucking hate this idea, and I kind of hate having to write about it again, because I have said my piece about the matter, repeatedly. But apparently a lot of you did not listen, so I’m going to have to explain again why the status quo on time is good and the ideas to change it are bad, in hopes that will stop the House from approving the Senate-passed bill and sending this nonsense to President Biden’s desk.

How to Make Coffee in the Bialetti Moka Pot: The "Ultimate Techique" | Open Culture

QRCode

In Italy, roughly 70% of households have a Bialetti Moka Pot. And chances are you have one too. But are you using it the right way?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfDLoIvb0w4

Here it is in text, if someone wants to save it :)
Constants:

  1. Boiling water in the boiler
  2. Full basket of coffee
  3. Avoid sputtering phase by cooling down the chamber under cold water

Variables:

  1. The lighter the roast, the finer the ground.
  2. Less filled boiler will brew a bit earlier. Usually, dark roasts -> a bit less water, light roasts -> full boiler
  3. Preheat the hob/relatively low heat on the gas hob
  4. As soon as the liquid starts to flow, turn off the heat. For electric hobs, move it to the edge of the hob.

Troubleshooting:
If the sputtering phase starts before you think it's time (not enough coffee out etc):

  1. Too fine of a grind
  2. Too much heat
